IIRC most of the people at FOTF largely provide family counseling to their right wing religious donor base/clientele. I’m skeptical of the real quality of what they accomplish, but then again it’s a deeply miserable and repressed clientele that probably needs every bit of the help it dares ask for.

I’m just astonished that they have 750 employees on the payroll — using a “conservative” estimate for the payroll burden (assuming an average base salary for non-executives of $50K and assuming that they provide some health-care and other benefits), they’re paying out somewhere between $40 and $60 million per year. Add in the top salaries, buildings (capital), etc., you really get an idea of how profitable the hate business still is!

For all the talk about HRC being too bloated, it seems to me that even with the cuts, FOF still has more $$ to foment hate then our side has to blunt it.
