Oh, they'd love to have a parallel society with a shadow government. And they'd work to use that to replace the real thing.

I read a right wing blog two days ago that quoted melancholy pagan observations of the decline of paganism toward the end of the Roman Empire. That's what is going on with the current flavor of socially (and otherwise) reactionary Christianity. And they know it.

So, efforts and fervor must be redoubled. It's will to power in its final, naked, ugliness.

Seems to me that what these people really want is a theocracy, pretty much like what Iran has. Of course, they would be the new Christian Imans.

Genes code for proteins, not for behaviors...

There are no instinctive behaviors in the animal kingdom. Well. This would be news to a lot of Zoologists.

Soon now, where I work, our parking deck's annual visitors, three separate as I count them flocks of Barn Swallows will at some unknown signal begin a mass exodus to their winter nesting grounds somewhere, so I'm told, in South America. The little dickens are not genetically programmed to do this. Probably, they all saw the same Travelocity ad and got a good deal on a parking deck somewhere in São Paulo

Christine, it depends on who is doing the accredidation. Is it the ABA that accredits law schools, or some other body, or the same body that accredits other types of schools?

I read in USA Today this week that Liberty University's Law School received full accreditation. Now, Rena Lindevaldsen is a faculty member at Liberty University in their law school (as is Matt Barber and Mat Staver):

Lindevaldsen: "We need to work to completely eliminate public schools — government schools — and push a Christian/Biblical model of educating our children."

How is it that these faculty, who advocate discriminating based on religion and sexual orientation, are given a free pass by the American Bar Association? How is it that their law school can be accredited when it violates ABA non-discrimination policies?

If it is ever found that these people knowingly participated in Lisa Miller's kidnapping and flight from justice, the law school should be discredited and the individual faculty members disbarred.

I wonder if the ABA's LGBT caucus is aware of the extent of their participation in anti-gay politics.

I love Ryan Sorba's logic (and his gayface, but that's an aside). If we criminalize sex, pornography would go down. But, honey, if sex is now illegal, I, for one, would turn to pornography even more than I do now!

RYAN SORBA: "These people need help."

After reading and making an honest effort to comprehend the ridiculous crap coming out of Sorba's mouth, it is clear to me that HE is the one who needs help.

"A thing is Good insofar as it helps actualize the potential for humanity."

Ok. This is starting to make me laugh.

Well, let's see. Mutual masturbation between two men has next to zero health risks. So I guess that is okay.

Also, lesbians are virtually absent from STD statistics. So that girl on girl action must also be okay, right?
