I don’t see Meg Whitman ads but I do see Mark Kirk ads (I live in Illinois). Just another indication of the automated nature of the ad placement on the site–BTB has no control over this.

Um…. dude…. you DO know that Google ads are random and independant of the site they’re on, and what ads it shows are chosen by a computer browsing the page for keywords?

If you write an article saying Meg Whitman is a bigoted c*nt, Google ads reads “Meg Whitman”. This is why blog entries about supporting trans equality end up displaying ads for shemale lady boy dating sites. It’s Google’s fault, not Tim’s. You owe him an apology for being unreasonably douchy about this.

I have no respect for Box Turtle if they even accept her ad even if it costs her if I click on it, She is spending millions.

I believe that ads are based on the subjects of the posts, regardless of the ideology espoused by the posts. I may be wrong about this.

Sometimes the world is just.

FYI, right now, here at Box Turtle Bulletin, there is an extremely creepy ad to the left of the box in which I am typing that says, “Stop Unchecked Liberal Power.” Has a scary graphic of an eagle. At the bottom it says, “Paid for by the Republic National Committee…”
