RR: Because enough folks do not want to pay for it and have convinced their legislators not to allow it, a view I happen to share. The fact that something is legal does not mean one is entitled to public funding to engage in it.

I was not aware that abortion was prohibited in military hospitals, and if that is true, I think it’s a disgrace. Abortion is a legitimate legal procedure in the USA. Why is it, and why should it be prohibited in military hospitals?

Funny how the one group who doesn’t have kids and add to the overpopulation is to blame for all the abortions that straight people are having. Just remember, it’s because of gay marriages that straights are getting divorced.

Inhofe was speaking about the Defense Authorization which includes DADT repeal as well as ends the prohibition against abortions in military hospitals. While I have no doubt he would love to see an end to abortions in ALL hospitals, given the subject of his critique of the bill, the specific context of “abortions in our hospitals” is clear.

The only mention the word abortion is the one in the quote above. There is no mention of abortions in military hospitals (as far as that clip is concerned).

As to why he’s bringing up abortion, I would assume we’d have to see the entire speech.

I listened to the clip at Joe My God’s site before I came here. He wasn’t saying that gay sex leads to abortion, he was clearly criticizing attempts to repeal DADT as well as allowing abortions in military hospitals.
