Awesome message; thoughtful and insightful…thanks for sharing that – I really do hope this young man represents the future of Christian attitudes toward the LGBTQ people in their schools and churches. It seems a long way off right now, but it gives me hope.

Thank you for the links to email Congress and Senator Representatives. I have emailed my Congressman and both of my Senators for my state about the DADT issue. I am just one voice but let’s make all of our voices shout out. I am 55 and a proud gay man. I hope to see the repeal of this awful law in my remaining lifetime.

I found Regan’s comment on that page to be more interesting than even the video. The video is good and important but Regan’s pointing out of religious accountability is the best I have seen. I would suggest reading it and using it when needed in discussions.

Simply, wow! I hope, truly hope, this young man represents the thinking of the next christianist generation. If so, Christianity may actually have a chance of revival and relevance in the future.

In the meantime, could someone please send a link for this video to Tony Perkins and ask him to respond to this young mans story?

And of course, we can count on the usual NOM mouthpiece to ask how her anti-gay rhetoric could possibly have anything to do with gay teen suicide. (Be prepared for the usual litany of distortions and cherry picked, stale statistics.) Much more appropriate (and far less affirming of NOM's tactics) statistics can be found here.
