“No doubt that Lisa Miller is getting help from these people, and if it’s possible, I hope they are prosecuted for aiding and abetting a child’s kidnapping.”

This goes beyond aiding and abetting, they are complicit in the kidnapping, and most likely told her to leave the country with the child, making them just as liable as Ms. Miller. As lawyers, they should KNOW that this is criminal, and should have– oh, what am I saying, they’re CHRISTERS, we all know the laws don’t apply to THEM! [/sarcasm]

Once again, attorneys are fighting on behalf of Lisa Miller…..yet no one knows where she is. Is there not enough probable cause here to investigate the lawyers?

There are no statute of limitations in Vermont for kidnapping. If Lisa Miller appears in public on Isabella’s 18th birthday, she will be charged.

So, when does the clock for statute of limitations on kidnapping start — effective the day of disappearance, or upon re-appearance of Isabella (or her 18th birthday)?

If we can find Lisa and Isabella and prove that some of the anti-gay forces helped them evade the law, there might be some new trials starting — but these would be in the criminal courts, not the family courts.

Janet has won, the debate is over, Lisa has lost. But for as long as they are in hiding, the victory is a bit hollow.

So in Theory, this is the end of the trial, right? There’s nowhere left to appeal, so the ruling of the lower courts should now stand.

Good question EZam. Lisa Miller is ONLY supported by anti gay groups because she renounced her lesbian orientation.
This has nothing to do with the quality of HER or Ms. Jenkin’s parenting.

But I find it exceptionally ugly, mean and cruel that said groups would treat Ms. Jenkins (and Isabella) this way, as if her love and her willing support and sacrifice for her daughter means nothing.
As if the child’s feeling for her adoptive mother mean nothing.

This isn’t unlike when slaves, unable to marry, were vulnerable to having their children taken away because of their status and what they were.
No doubt that Lisa Miller is getting help from these people, and if it’s possible, I hope they are prosecuted for aiding and abetting a child’s kidnapping.
