I don’t think this has much to do with LGBT rights or the economy or anything as much as the failure to pass the Colorado version of the DREAM Act.

Start a marriage initiative in the State’s legislature, if that’s doable.

If New Jersey is any example, GOP legislators will be falling over themselves to vote funding in almost any amount for ‘safe schools’, so they can mitigate the harms claimed as part of the marriage initiative.

Hate to be so cynical, but life’s lessons are often of the, er, disappointing kind…

Of course, I’ll just pretend aloud that consequence was the silver lining to the cloud.
