And along with British Columbia were the only two provinces to enact eugenics laws, which remained on the books until the 1970's, something that still shames me as a Canadian. Reading that on some level Alberta considered my life to be a mental disorder does not surprise me one bit. I wonder how many gay people were subjected to forced sterilization?
