I’m sure to many voters, that is a selling point. There are many a legislator that I would happily pay to do nothing.

One more thing. Nobody here in RI is questioning that Chafee is now the governor, even if he did get less than 50% of votes cast.
Also, Healey not only ran on a platform of doing away with the office of Lieutenant Governor, which would probably require changing the state constitution, but he stated that if he was elected, he would do absolutely nothing, while getting paid of course.

I live in RI and the ad has been on air for a couple of days and I’m already sick of it. Also, what they don’t tell you is that polls show that a majority of Rhode Islanders do support same-sex marriage. Nor did they tell you what the percentage was of those voted versus registered voters. Nor do I recall any poll asking anybody if same-sex marriage should be a ballot question. As the article stated, NOM plays fast and loose with the facts and figures.

So when is the ad exposing all of this coming out?

Probably after we lose yet again. That seems to be when people figure out that NOM’s lies have to be challenged quickly and thoroughly if we don’t want voters swallowing their crap hook, line and sinker.

Not to mention one of those three others was Todd Giroux, an openly gay man.

NOM likes to play fast and loose with statistics and they like to hire firms that will let them do so, like Quest Research and their fearless leader Vic Profughi.

I don’t give a shit that Profughi has a Phd in poli-sci, or that he’s a professor at a state school, I do however care that he used loaded questions to arrive at the 80% level and his sample was 400 people, 399 of which were probably from the NOM mailing list in RI.
