Actually, I support the Republicans’ decision to defend DOMA — I think it would be the best move possible to get them in a court room spouting all the half-truths, outright lies, and wild fantasies that they’ve used against same-sex marriage so far. It would be very helpful to see them fall flat on their faces very publicly.

But I doubt that they’ll be able to get Maggie Gallagher or Tony Perkins as expert witnesses — after all, on the witness stand, you’re under oath.

This is the LCR that endorsed Palin/McCain in the 2008 elections. Despite their clear record and positions on gay issues. And they sought to mislead their followers that said pair were the Wonder Twins for gay issues.

So, yeah, why is anyone surprised when this guy once again sells out the community to maintain political access?

Cooper was correct in that this is, in large part, political calculus on the part of the Obama’s Administration and his unwillingness to answer Matthews questions shows just how smart that political calculus was.

Why is no one bringing up the fact that Obama has every right to prioritize workload?

It’s not just that he thinks it’s unconstitutional, he thinks it unwinable.

Why waste resources on something that not going to go anywhere?
