The state of being homosexual or transgender has nothing whatsoever to do with race or ethnic origin. Even if, however, it were so that the only one ethnic or specific physio-type of person (what, please, is ‘race’?) were homosexual or transgender (or both), then that would still be irrelevant to our claim to basic human and civil rights.

Which are still denied to us in the US.

Let’s by all means be and stay furious. But let’s also channel this fury, for once, into action. Make our displeasure known to the Democratic party in the one and only place they understand: Financially.

My jaw dropped when I read that. I wonder what his message is to gay Hispanics. “You don’t exist”? “You’re probably a Nazi, too”? “Don’t vote Democrat”?

Absolutely nuts.

You just placed yourself on the same level as this appalling man. Shame on you!

When are we gays, lesbians and transgender going to learn that the Democratic party are not our friends, they are not our allies – their sole interests in us are our money and our votes.

We need to punish them for this, severely. Withdraw all support until this man is removed from office. Make clear that our votes and our money is only available to those who support the restoration of our human rights.

Apparently, though, you can get your way just because you’re Latino.
