“Dr. Eastman is a former clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.” That’s it in a nutshell…it says it all. A clerk to Clarence Thomas?

His involvement in the cited cases says way too much about his personal commitment to Human Rights. It would seem that he is a perfect choice for an organization that appeals to the baser human instincts of its followers and makes loads of money telling lies about GLBT folks.

There is more to this story, I’m sure. “She is pursuing new things” is a polite way NOM is saying they are not happy with Ms. Gallagher. Standard procedure for PR sake.

Does that move Orson Scott Card up the corporate ladder a bit?

Well, she got her hands slapped for munching so loudly in the gallery at the Prop 8 trial and then she did it again at the premier of “8″ on Broadway. NOM probably couldn’t stand her doing the same thing at their staff meetings so the canned her.

Why does this press release sound so much like Glen Beck saying he was “evolving” when he got canned from Fox?

Usually the problem in an outfit like this is that the deep pockets are drying up and they want to get new pockets lined up. The *first* job of a board member is to raise money for the organization.

That’s why she going bye-bye. Can can’t attract the big players.
