I’m curious as to what happened with Sub-chapter X, Section 925, Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice which still labels “sodomy” as a punitive act.

This is only the direct implementation of DADT. There are other documents that have been changed and made gender-neutral. For example they revised the domestic abuse regulation and removed the words “of the opposite sex”, so they can also deal with same-sex abuse
