The problem is (a) the Danish government’s control over the church, and (b) the Danish government’s funding of the church.

It is worth noting that these are rogue priests.

The Church already holds ceremonies for Registered Partnerships, so the change in name wouldn’t change the fact that the Church already participates in and blesses same-sex love.

In fact, while these priests complain, there are many others who are just fine with the measure.
