"I’ve got a lot of things in the pipeline for BTB, but they are time consuming."

You've got my attention. Your in-depth pieces represent some of the best work in the blogosphere. Not the gay blogosphere, the whole blogosphere.

Don't toy with us, Burroway. Give us a hint!

This morning, I woke and chose to be gay (again; gotta stop doing that). Then I chose to have blue eyes (although I swear, I'm gonna try those brown ones someday) and chose to be 5'10" (but I admit I'd like to try a couple more inches, just to see).

Turned on the weather report while shaving, and heard that it's going to rain today.

Well! I don't support rain. Not at all; never will I support, endorse or encourage rain (especially near schools or in the military).

So I called the weatherman. Believe me, I let him have it for endorsing rain like he does - a mention of it is bad enough, but he lets it have its say, describes it, measures it, treats it like it's "normal."

Well, he got a sore ear from me. The least he could do, I said, is narrow his eyes at it to make it know how unwanted it is. Frown at it to make it go away. Ban it from public display. Wise up to its agenda. Quit giving it exposure and special rights.

How can you "support" rain and still call yourself a weatherman? I asked.

There was no answer, but I think he got the message.

Jim, here's one for you. James Rennell Rodd, a minor, if unimportant, poet born this day in 1858, I think. He might have been an early jiltee of oscar wilde. Mostly he's not remembered at all.

I wake up, and just as I have done every morning since puberty, I choose to be gay today.

Choose to be gay? Most gays are gay; they don't have to choose if they want to live with themselves.
