Gender identity is synonymous with gender. Gender is not a polite euphemism for sex, whether that be anatomical, chromosomal, or whatever goalpost the powers that be are insisting on at this time, and even if it was, both intersex and trans people are banned from the American military.

I’m no fan of the US military either. I’m inclined to think that, overall, they do more harm than good in the world. And the way the Americans fetishise their military frankly freaks me out a little. Anyway, I live in one of the few Western countries which doesn’t celebrate/commemorate Armistice Day in any form.

I’m very appreciative of those veterans who believed George Bush’s lies about Iraq and went in a killed a bunch of people who never did a thing to threaten Americans.

Also, I’m thankful to those veterans who helped kill millions of Vietnamese despite the fact that few there wished Americans harm before the U.S. insetrted itself there.
