Well said, CPT Doom,
There is a distinct pattern with the anti gay making claims among their supporters as if such claims are evidence enough.
It sounds dramatic, and attempts to weigh gays and lesbians with the burden of proof of innocence as well as the prejudice that they are threatening anyone.

Lodging a police report, would ultimately be a FALSE one. Which is illegal. Paranoid schizophrenics cannot be indulged no matter how many people they THINK are out to get them, the police have far more important things to attend to.
So not only would having law enforcement put to rest the claims, people like Quinlan run the risk of being arrested or facing some kind of action themselves.
Let them cry wolf, over and over again. Let them say it's their 1st amendment right to cry wolf (even though it isn't.) And let them be confronted and challenged on lack of evidence and see what they do to squirm out of it, or make yet another claim why they don't have any.

As we speak, people like Brian Brown and their other supporters, have actually complained the police don't take their claims or accusations seriously enough and THAT is why they have no evidence to prove anyone gay has done anything serious to them.
For realz.

Rather than sue Mr. Quinlan, Besen should demand an FBI investigation into these threats. I think it would be much better to have Quinlan declared a fraud by law enforcement than by a civil court.

"Is it wrong to wish for a bolt of lightning to strike Mr. Quinlan?"

According to many religious people I've talked to, a strike from a bolt of lighting would be considered as an act of God, and it's never wrong to pray to God.

Is it wrong to wish for a bolt of lightning to strike Mr. Quinlan? I mean, it's a random chance event that I wish would happen.
