As a gay man, I can’t understand anything about the sports culture that would make me not report something like that. The sports culture just isn’t capable of having that kind of power over me. I would think that would holds true for most other gay men as well. Many of us endured a negative relationship with sports as we were growing up, and a great many others of us just aren’t touched by whatever the hell it is in the male teams sports culture that seems to be such a fundamental part of the psyches of so many straight men.

Unfortunately, in the US, comedy is almost the only place to get real news: Onion, Colbert, Maher, Stewart, and others I can’t remember.

It happened to him when he was young.
I just read it.
