Michele, there was no Federal Dept Education when you were growing up? Well, it shows!

David in Houston, I generally agree with you that the last thing the anti-LGBT crowd wants is for gays to marry straights, but in Michele’s case, I wonder. Perhaps she genuinely believes its a working solution…some sort of noble sacrifice of daughters or something.

She’s right. It’s a bit like in Saudi Arabia, where Muslims and Christians have equal rights. Christians are just as free to worship publicly, as long as they worship Allah. Who can complain?

Michele’s comments really are not anything new. I’ve heard others say the same thing for years. Specifically, I heard Michael Medved say it repeatedly on his radio show several years ago. He said it as though he was revealing his great insight into how gays really have always had marriage equality.

It’s such a preposterously stupid comment, does anyone really need to refute it? No one believes for a second that she actually wants straight people to marry gay people (excluding her own marriage, of course). It’s just her way of trying to rationalize her own bigotry.

Yes, Michele, laws NEVER change in our country. Blacks are still slaves, women can’t vote, and marriage equality isn’t legal in 6 states and 10 countries. Just when you thought politicians couldn’t get any dumber, Michele is there to prove us wrong.
