“Yes, research has proven that prejudice is generally against a number of minority groups, not just homosexuality. The authoritarian personality that condemns persons for their homosexual behavior is much more of a threat to society than the homosexual himself. They are psychoneurotics who need psychiatric treatment, not the harmless homosexual who varies from the so-called normal, criticized only insofar as what he does in bed. Prejudice against the homosexual makes an especially good scapegoat for the authoritarian personality.”

56 years after this was spoken and the likes of Rick "Brokeback Mountain" Perry and InsaneTorum plus Newt "My 3rd marriage is the holy one" Gingring and Michle "the beard" Bachman all have proven the wisdon of those words.

Got it:

"There is no perfect candidate," says Bryan Fischer, director of issue analysis at the American Family Association. "Jesus Christ is not on the ballot in any of the primary elections, so that means social conservatives have to do triage."

Frothy has a quote too--Box of Rocks may win another day.

All,

Just heard a great quote from (comedian) Bryan Fischer on NPR (religious conservatives are conclaving in Texas to pick on lunatic to support in the GOP race). I can't find it in writing, yet, but he was basically saying that the perfect candidate isn't out there and "Jesus Christ is not running."

Yes, moron, and he'd be on the Democratic ticket if he was.
