Not necessarily. In 3 of the 4 special elections in New Hampshire since the 2010 elections Democrats have won back seats from incumbent Republicans. I have no doubt that this year Democrats will make big gains.

I have the sneaking suspicion that Bettencourt would prefer to schedule the vote for a Wednesday at 3 am and have to sadly report that he wasn’t able to get quorum so it’ll have to wait til next year. Just a sneaking suspicion.

Not so sad. The votes don’t seem to be there for repeal. That’s progress considering the overwhelming GOP majority in NH.

And do not forget–the trends are running in our favor overall.
