i read that even if this passes they will need to get about 128000 signers of a petition and then it goes on the ballot. not sure how it would play in the hands of voters but it would stop the marriages until the vote happens. is that correct…

Hunter, yes NOM will have their hands full. So will we. It is important that we all contribute to the campaigns in Washington, Maine, Minnesota, North Carolina, and possibly Maryland, New Hampshire, California, and elsewhere. We must begin to win these ballot battles.

Looks like NOM’s going to have its hands full this year, what with threatening legislators in Washington state, Maryland, New Hampshire and New Jersey and funding ballot initiatives in Minnesota and North Carolina. Hope the pope has a big cash reserve. Maybe they can stimulate the economy.

PS. It would seem NOM will be throwing away money to put a ref on the ballot, w only 38% of WA voters saying “no” to supporting gay marriage laws. It looks like WA will stabilize gay marriage permanently.
