"We have moved away from the death penalty," he said. The original bill said those found guilty of "aggravated homosexuality" - defined as when one of the participants is a minor, HIV-positive, disabled or a "serial offender" - would face the death penalty. Serial offenders are subject to the penalty for “aggravated defilement,” and that penalty is death, according to Section 129. There you go: they don’t even have to prove you’ve had gay sex, and they can still sentence you to death!
