i predict that here and in maryland the ban will be in place due to this vote. these polls showing pro equality ahead are bunk we all know it. we have seen it before. of course when people are asked they will all be for equality so they answer oh yes ill support gay marraige then when its time to vote they vote against it. until we get it to the supreme court these referendums will go down in defeat everytime.

I doubt they'd stop just from starting to lose.

Whatever happened with that other... I don't remember what it's called, but the provision that was going to be on the ballot worded the other way, so that everyone would have to vote yes on one and no on the other?

please, please, will SOMEBODY PLEEEEASE tell me when this organized referendum-targeting against our community is GOING TO FUCKING END???? Because it is just getting TOO FREAKING RIDICULOUS!!!!!! I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF IT, I swear the amount of these cruel efforts by those JERKOFFS that I can take before I just LOSE IT, even moreso than that which is displayed in this comment, is RAPIDLY fraying. Why the hell can't they find something to do with their time that DOESN'T involve forcing their fears and ignorance into the laws so that our movements as LGBT citizens are RESTRICTED, CONTROLLED and PRESSURED in ways that NO other citizen has to contend with? I mean are they just gonna keep on until they see each and every one of us LGBTs humiliated and broken entirely?????? Because THAT is what it feels like is the case, and I'm sorry for my my language but ENOUGH IS FUCKING ENOUGH AND THEY NEED TO JUST CUT IT OUT ALREADY!!!!

It's a bit troubling that they were able to so easily get so many signatures. They were barely able to get the required signatures for the anti-civil union referendum and that was when people thought they were signing anonymously. Now people know that their signatures will be made public but they were still able to easily get twice as many signatures as needed.

Washington needs to work from day one as if they're 20 points behind in the polls. I hope they find a more effective way to respond to the lies that NOM will spew than the other 30 states did.
