I've been a member of GLAAD's theater jury for eight years now. This play is on our list of plays and performances specific to LGBT stories and depictions.

I've been looking forward to seeing this. If I can, I'll give a commentary. The performance needs support anyway. Typically GLAAD members look for LGBT content that's unusual and deals with members of the community from countries and cultures where being gay is much more difficult.
Our last winner was a one person show called "No Words In Guyanese For Me" about a Muslim woman's journey from devout Muslim wife, to independent lesbian finding her bliss in life with another woman.
A close contender was the story of a gay, HIV+ Catholic, whose family immigrated from Iraq when he was a young boy.
Another was the harrowing story about an Irish immigrant to America, who spent 9 months and risking his life, to adopt a three year old Ugandan boy.

Knowing what I do about Uganda's laws on gays, thanks to BTB and other sources, witnessing these well told true stories makes their impact even stronger.
Thanks for the mention Jim and yes, anyone living in the LA area, please attend!

He sure picked a catchy title to his play! To bad I am not in the area I would for sure want to see this. It is truly terrifying what is going on in Africa to sexual minorities. Uganda is very visible but there are other countries who are just as bad.
