Just a few moments ago, I found the NY Times obituary, which describes him as &quot;his manager and archivist, who also became his adopted son.&quot; To me at least, that calls into question as to whether Horst raised Richard. Since I don&#039;t know the chronology and circumstances behind the adoption, I changed the wording from &quot; Together, they adopted and raised a son.&quot; to &quot;Horst also adopted a son.&quot;

		<description>Where did you read about Horst and his partner adopting a son? I&#039;d love to read more but when googling &quot;biography&quot; it only talks about his photography. I couldn&#039;t even find another site mentioning the son. Any chance there is a good book you know of? I think it would be fascinating to read about how two men adopted a child that long ago.</description>
