Regan said "You’d think that Christians, or those who are pro marriage were the biggest victims of hateful threat and violence in this country.".

They're trying to prevent people from maryying, they're not pro-marriage, they're anti-marriage.

He's not done yet. He's going to get charged with a hate crime before this is all over. DC's statue covers political affiliation. Unless they work out some sort of plea deal I'm not sure how he can avoid it.

He's really going down hard. Even harder than George Zimmerman, and Corkins didn't even kill anyone.
But is Tony Perkins or any other anti gay asshole satisfied?

No. They are all over the media (and Perkins complained the media didn't cover it well enough), how hateful gay people are, and it's the SPLC who incited the violence with their pro gay rhetoric.

Because that's how threatening gay people REALLY are, it was only a matter of time, right?

Michael Brown has thrown in his five cents, so has Matt Barber and Robert Knight, over at TownHall.

You'd think that Christians, or those who are pro marriage were the biggest victims of hateful threat and violence in this country.

My friends, considering that there really wasn't a tragedy at FRC, the attitude of Tony Perkins and his supporters is grossly insensitive. As in utterly indifferent to pain and suffering, whether they inflict it, or someone else has suffered much worse as with the Sikhs and the Aurora victims.

Even the horrific shootings of teen lesbians in TX didn't get any mention, and THAT killer is still at large.

And despite the denouncement of our side, of the violence at FRC, they have never had a sense of perspective or proportion on this or what motivates gay people to litigate, hold vigils or get angry at all.

Tony Perkins and his ilk, mention NO ONE ELSE dealing with serious hate crimes, all they talk about is themselves as if it's SO risky to be them in America.

Standing among my Sikh neighbors, I knew all too well that brave sadness that can only come from a community under siege. There has been a shameful uptick in hate crimes against Sikhs.
Wearing a turban can mark you as surely a target of violence.

I have no more patience for the likes of Tony Perkins. But what do you do with people so selfish, and self serving as to take the gravity out of what hate crimes really are and who is behind them in this country?
