Wouldn't it be "most ideal" if Heterosexuals would refocus their efforts on improving Their Own Divorce Rates?

It strikes me that anyone identifying themselves as Catholic would want to back off any discussion of the best interests of children.

If gays suddenly abandoned their quest for marriage rights, do you think the Catholic Church would direct their freed up time and money to solve the problem of the legions of children born to single mothers who desperately need both a mom and a dad? Me neither.

Catholics talking about what's best for the children are the height of hypocrisy. The arrogance and myopia of them is unbelievable.

In a totally non-scientific observation, I was actually at the Fair last evening (opening night), from 7-11, and saw not a single Vote Yes person. I did, however see dozens of Vote No folks. (In MN, Vote No means to NOT amend the constitution).

FWIW, among fairgoers last night, there was a complete preponderance of anti-bigots.

If they really wanted to help create more ideal societies for children, they'd crusade to diminish domestic violence, which wipes out entire families.
Especially in custody disputes.
Were they serious about that, they'd crusade for the ability for men and women to get cheap, readily available birth control.
Especially there should be no interference when women want to have a tubal ligation.
And more importantly, they'd support programs and more creative and effective ways to keep young people from drugs.

    But noooooooooooo....
They are too busy investing a seriously disturbing amount of money in assuring that only a PORTION of children, will have married parents.
These same people obviously can't make straight people STAY married, or attend to their parental duties.
But somehow they see something grand and purposeful in fucking with gay adults who ARE committed and taking care of each other and are being responsible to their children.

If I hadn't seen anything so impossibly stupid and USELESS even to THEIR purpose, I wouldn't have believed it.
