Late at night on Wednesday Oct 3, 2012 Dr. W Bradford Wilcox confessed that in fact, while he was Director of the Witherspoon Program that funded Dr. Regnerus, while he was the director, he participated in the research. http://bit.ly/T0Cp0r

Sofia Resnick of The American Independent has written an extensive article on Dr. Wilcox Collaborating with Dr. Regnerus with quotations from the President of the Witherspoon Institute agreeing that Dr. Wilcox did, while Program Director at the Witherspoon Institute, Dr. Wilcox participated in the research, http://ainn.ly/T2ZX4Z

In his confession Dr. Wilcox says that he considered his work at the Witherspoon Institute "Honorific" however these records appear to show otherwise http://bit.ly/SDMjQv

The Journal Social Science Research should retract the Regnerus study as Dr. Regnerus lied in his report. This is unequivocal, this is not "there is an appearence of" we now have Dr. Wilcox and the Witherspoon Institute on record saying Wilcox participated, and Dr. Regnerus says in his report,

"The NFSS was supported in part by grants from the Witherspoon Institute and the Bradley Foundation. While both of these are commonly known for their support of conservative causes—just as other private foundations are known for supporting more liberal causes—the funding sources played no role at all in the design or conduct of the study, the analyses, the interpretations of the data, or in the preparation of this manuscript.”

Please contact the Editor of the Journal that published this, Journal Social Science Research, and request the study be retracted:

Dr. James Wright
University of Central Florida
James.Wright@ucf.edu

Also the President of the American Sociological Association, Maybe he can influence Wright in FLA as he seems to have dug in his heels on retraction.
Dr. Erik Olin Wright
University of Wisconsin Madison

Shouldn't the fact that "news of the study broke in the Deseret News" (the DN being a propaganda arm of the LDS church) destroy the study's credibility from the start?

Onto this topic I would like to add the latest revealed by documents received via the Freedom Of Information Act of Texas.

1. Dr. W Bradley Wilcox is the *Director of the Marriage, Family and Democracy Program* for the Witherspoon Institute.

http://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/bio-wilcox

2. The Witherspoon Institute funded Dr. Mark Regnerus Univ of Texas Austin $685,000 (an astronomical sum in Sociology Research) for the New Family Structures Study. *They funded this out of their Marriage, Family and Democracy Program.*

See Page 36 of Witherspoon’s 2010 IRS 990 forms http://bit.ly/Ul7T1J also see pages 27 & 28.

3. Dr. Regnerus permitted Dr Wilcox to assist in data collection and data analysis.http://bit.ly/PaXTl3

4. Dr. Regnerus states unequivocally in his report that no one from his Funding Organizations Participated in the Research Project
Bottom of page 4 of the .pdf File Original report. http://bit.ly/QU2onR

This is a download link so if it doesn't open hand type it in your browser and it will work

It is not possible to reconcile #4 with the contrary evidence in 1 - 3, it's just not possible.

Please contact the Editor of the Journal that published this, Journal Social Science Research, and request the study be retracted:
