Someone should publicly confront Quinlin about this to demonstrate to those who aren’t totally stupid what an idiot he is.

He thinks it is perfectly fine that str8 parents should be able to haul their kid off to a therapist to alter his sexual orientation, so would he support a gay couple hauling their kid off to alter that kid’s heterosexual attraction?

@Snowman: I don’t know anyone that dumb either. Not anyone I claim as friends. I remember when I was small, that was the only time I can remember being aware I DIDN’T know something. The parental units filled our house with great books and literature known to man. Encouraged as much education and seeking it out as possible.
And I remember adults who knew THEY didn’t know, and would defer to the perso they understood was trained, or experienced or educated in whatever subject.
Most essentially though, I was taught to not argue with someone whose experience exceeded my own, and to learn from them.
There was no reason to believe, for example, a non Jewish anti Semite and their opinions on Jews.
I knew when I didn’t know much about ex gays. And over 15 years ago, sought out every website, information and so on, to find out.
What happened then, was interesting. Those claiming that new situation, tended to be very cagey, or reserved about the actual change over, and their experience was ALL the same by way of stereotype about what homosexuality is or means.
And any more probative questioning, got stonewalled with sermons or dismissal.
Peaking my suspicions, or needs to ask more questions even further.

I had no opinion about ex gays in the beginning, but some of their behavior was rude in their dismissal. And eventually, putting certain things together without THEIR help, made me come away with a sour attitude towards them.

They make gay teens pay dearly for their ex gay activity. And they’ll deny they have anything to do with the public confusion about homosexuality or the impetus they give to those who are willing to discriminate. And that’s the essential reason why it’s impossible to respect anyone like that.

But the twisting they do to make themselves out to be victims of the prejudice or threat, is at the level of paranoid schizophrenia. And the people who believe them, stupid to the point of lowered IQ points.

I don’t think I know anyone dumb enough to believe all that crap. How exactly they keep thinking 80% or 90% of the population is somehow an “oppressed” group, I don’t understand. Whether its bogus claims of Christian persecution or crap like this, I don’t get it.
