Priya Lynn- I am not surprised that many of his followers are immoral because to many of them all they have to do is ask for forgiveness and that is perfectly fine. Remember that we should have forgiven gingrich because he had asked god for forgiveness.

Why do these people get air time? Instead of picking the thing MOST like gay relationships, MOST alike in their involvment of just 2 consenting unrelated adults, MOST alike in the qualities of the best (and sometimes the worst) of human nature can be explored, the thing which MOST closely resembles the form of human nature modelled in marriage i.e. oppsite sex relationships, they pick arsenic. WTF!!

Arsenic? In what way is arsenic relevant?

Same with incest and punching and marrying a table.
IRRELEVANT

It’s a form of moral relativism. The thing is only moral if ‘I’ say it is moral. That particular thing is immoral even though it is the equivalent with that other thing.

I think Eric got it right. Warren’s points are true, in a vacuum, but irrelevant to the discussion because they simply aren’t on the same level as sexuality.

Also, I still fail to see the victim in homosexuality, whereas in Warren’s cases the presence of a victim makes it clear why these impulses ought not to be acted upon.

Some of Warren’s words must have been omitted in the quote. I believe he meant to add, “I don’t punch guys in the nose or commit adultery, because those acts would be wrong, and besides, I would lose my ministry and substantial income. But sometimes I feel overwhelmed with my anti-gay bigotry, and I always DO act on that by spewing hateful lies about gays to degrade their lives as much as possible.” While nose-punching and adultery are typically frowned upon, lots of people applaud and cheer when I go after the homos.

A good video. And a completely fair statement about Warren, who brought it upon himself and deserved it.

As for his untroubled insistence that I ought to ignore my basic nature essentially because it irritates him, I can’t even begin to speak.
