That is so not the real story of Hanukkah. Hanukkah is eight days long because the Maccabees promised their followers that they would have control of the Temple by Sukkot (which is eight days long). When they failed to do so, they held a late Sukkot as part of rededicating (hanukkah) the Temple. The miracle stories come much later. Oil lasting for eight days?
