The moralizing busybodies will be with you always. They'll just come up with something else to moralize about.

I suspect that the moralizing pendulum is going to swing the other way for a while. Being crazy-conservative isn't so popular so those inclined to micromanaging others are probably going to swing to crazy-liberal for a while. I'm anticipating dictating auto mileage or fiber content in your clothes or what food you're allowed to eat. We already see a lot of "thou shalt not use the words on the banned list".

Of course, that too will get tiresome and we'll have the crazy-conservatives again in a few decades.

Goshamignty. I guess with all the funds drying up, the sheeple shearers are going to have to find a new target to get people riled up when it simply doesn't affect them on the slightest. But don't worry, in sure they'll find something. Muslims? African immigrants? Maybe Mormons in a pinch?

But seriously. this shouldn't be a problem AT ALL. I mean, on so many pages, all over the web, there are many many people solemnly intoning all kinds of hooey: god's plan for humanity, marriage is between a man and a woman, my church will be sued, children need a mother and a father, disgusting "preverts" liberals destroying the family....

And on and on and on and on. You folks oughtta be good for a few mill, doncha think? You're saving the world from Teh Gay, aincha?Dig deep in those pockets!

but wait! That might mean that your bigotry would actually cost YOU something, instead of being paid for in the much easier coin of other people's lives.

what about the churches: Catholics, Mormons, baptists? Mormons don't like all the bad publicity. It isn't filling the pews in the diocese, or distracting from the abuse scandals as hoped: a catholic majority is on OUR side. Baptists don't really want to be on the wrong side of history yet AGAIN, not if it means forgoing that slab of ribs.

really! What's a moralizing busybody to do?

The Vatican has been paying out millions and millions of dollars over the years for its pedophile priest payoffs and coverups. And we know it has been bankrolling NOM for a long time. They have to go broke sometime.

The Sistine Chapel art must be worth billions.

"David" does not belong to the Vatican. It is owned either by the City of Florence or the nation of Italy. The Vatican does have any number of works by Michaelangelo, just not this one. Clever way to get a naked man into the blog, though.
