LaBarbera Babbles on about MRSA

horse.bmpPeter LaBarbera has yet further musings about MRSA. But because there’s nothing new and they really aren’t very interesting, I think I’ll just illustrate for you the limitations of my artistic abilities.

That was rather sickening. Does the thought occur to any of them that promiscuity is not inherent in homosexuality, and likewise that poor hygiene is not intrinsic to one’s orientation? Euch, it’s like being home all over again… “1. People change. 2. It’s gross. Er, I mean, causes disease.”

I read Peter LaBarbera statement and comments. We should emphasis that this is a Bacteria and is present in health young adults. The rate of infection has been reported in heterosexuals visiting massage pallor but the organism is not sexually transmitted.

I worked as a doctor in NHS hospitals for years (1980-2000) and have tried my best to warn authorities and staff about the danger of allowing MRSA to thrive in UK hospitals. NHS spent some £2 Billion cleaning hospitals and now accepts there is no association between cleanliness and spreading MRSA. They are pointing the fingers at practical procedures (IV lines, cannulae, and catheters) as a major contributing factor.

In 1989, I saw a boy aged 14 die in 12 hours, then said to be nosocomial infection (staphylococcus aureus present in skin) which frightened me. I have published my work in medical journals, websites and videos in you tube. Even now when I warn doctors and nurses about the threat, and educate them about the importance of hand washing, they think I am paranoid.

Most believe a drug company will soon bring in a new antibiotic or a vaccination. Since 1970s there has been no new antibiotic introduced. I spoke to a senior microbiologist in charge of infection control; she thinks CA-MRSA is a major problem in USA and not a threat in UK. Unless doctors understand the gravity of the situation and know what to look for, we won’t know we have a community-acquired MRSA problem until it’s a very big problem.

This is frustrating because the problem is going to be a major threat to us all and unless we educate the healthcare providers that this threat is real and many health people especially children and young adults will be die.

Please visit my website and pass on the information to others. We hope our contribution will help you prevent invasive CA-MRSA effecting your family and you.

So Petey is still beating the dead horse. Loved the artwork.

To me, this is further proof–not that i needed any– that the whole anti gay thing is not about religious belief, natural sexuality, family, or anything else. The information is not esoteric. It is available to Babs with a minimum of research. In fact, BTB did the reasearch and posted the sources, including UCSF and CDC.

It’s about hate, fear power and money.

Lets just hope that Pete doesn’t touch the wrong doorknob at International Mr. Leather or the next Folsom Street fair.

With his habit of frequenting these events, he’s in a high risk group.

Or let’s hope he does. Babsy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do about that curse of God.

What Are Little Boys Made Of?

In this original BTB Investigation, we unveil the tragic story of Kirk Murphy, a four-year-old boy who was treated for “cross-gender disturbance” in 1970 by a young grad student by the name of George Rekers. Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

When we first reported on three American anti-gay activists traveling to Kampala for a three-day conference, we had no idea that it would be the first report of a long string of events leading to a proposal to institute the death penalty for LGBT people. But that is exactly what happened. In this report, we review our collection of more than 500 posts to tell the story of one nation’s embrace of hatred toward gay people. This report will be updated continuously as events continue to unfold. Check here for the latest updates.

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

On February 10, I attended an all-day “Love Won Out” ex-gay conference in Phoenix, put on by Focus on the Family and Exodus International. In this series of reports, I talk about what I learned there: the people who go to these conferences, the things that they hear, and what this all means for them, their families and for the rest of us.

Straight From The Source: What the “Dutch Study” Really Says About Gay Couples

Daniel Fetty Doesn’t Count

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
