The young man made me so happy I cried!

YES A SUCCESS STORY! 1 down and many more to go. I am so happy that we were able to help this young man out.

I can just see the other side right now responding to this. “See what you guys did, this lost soul was about to convert to heterosexuality by attending our brain washing sessions until he found your “just stick it out and life will get better” videos and now he’s “addicted” on them! You made this person feel good about himself about being gay! Now we’re just going to have to make his life even more miserable!

Sincerely your friends at NOM

By the way bro you too can have a family still. My partner has a 6 year old son who is just a joy in my life. You will meet someone who might have a kid, or perhaps you can adopt one of those kids that heterosexuals don’t want.

@Christopher – click through to YouTube and check out the comments. He has cleaned his room.

And at least he’s not doing what I did most of my life – tossing all the messy stuff in the closet.

(btw – Dylan posted a second vid on YT giving some more of his story.)

This touching video is confirmation that the IGB videos are not just a waste of pixels; I expect there will be a flood of similar stories at the end of this decade as today’s teens who DIDN’T commit suicide relate what influences were important to them.
Contrary to the rhetoric of the anti-LGBT hate groups, I have no vested interest in whether Dylan is gay, straight, bi, or even – horrors – Republican. My interest is that he survives and thrives and knows that he is not alone. IGB seems to have provided him with a foundation to challenge the misinformation that is being fed to him. Bravo!

This video pays for all. It should be required viewing for those at certain blogs that shall remain nameless who can’t seem to do anything but carp at Dan Savage for not waving his magic wand and making it perfect right this minute.

Christopher– just what I was thinking. His room is such a mess that he’s probably REALLY straight.

Ooh that burns. My whole house looks like a man cave. Are you going to take away my gay card?

That beautiful, adorable boy going through that.
And finding comfort in IGB.
And he did express gratitude for it.

I hope is parents and family understand what a great kid he is, and he’ll be a happier, healthier person for being himself.

Frankly, I don’t know why heterosexuality is sold as if heterosexuals don’t create problems and ‘not acting on it’ would solve them. Being heterosexual isn’t an ACHIEVEMENT in greatness. It’s not an achievement at all.
No one’s orientation is. So why should it be a goal of any kind?

WTF?!

When I was his age homosexuality was deemed a psychiatric illness and homosexual acts a criminal offense. I bought the baloney and suffered for far too long. I was just born 40 years too late. I just pray that young gay and lesbian teenagers don’t have to go through want I went through ….. and, have happy productive lives.

It’s great that Dylan was able to figure out the truth about “therapy” claiming to change one’s sexual orientation. This is nothing more than ignorant, religious nonsense that does a lot of psychological damage to the kids who get entrapped in it. Imagine a “floral therapy” claiming to change a “rose” into a “lily” – they’d be laughed out of town. Competent therapy by licensed psychologists or psychiatrists *can* be very helpful to gay teens in learning how to accept their orientations and feelings as normal and in dealing more effectively with homophobic ‘rents and peers – but any therapist who still sees being gay as abnormal or who claims to have a “cure” for what isn’t an illness is nothing more than a dangerous quack.

What Are Little Boys Made Of?

In this original BTB Investigation, we unveil the tragic story of Kirk Murphy, a four-year-old boy who was treated for “cross-gender disturbance” in 1970 by a young grad student by the name of George Rekers. This story is a stark reminder that there are severe and damaging consequences when therapists try to ensure that boys will be boys.

Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

When we first reported on three American anti-gay activists traveling to Kampala for a three-day conference, we had no idea that it would be the first report of a long string of events leading to a proposal to institute the death penalty for LGBT people. But that is exactly what happened. In this report, we review our collection of more than 500 posts to tell the story of one nation’s embrace of hatred toward gay people. This report will be updated continuously as events continue to unfold. Check here for the latest updates.

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

From the Inside: Focus on the Family’s “Love Won Out”

On February 10, I attended an all-day “Love Won Out” ex-gay conference in Phoenix, put on by Focus on the Family and Exodus International. In this series of reports, I talk about what I learned there: the people who go to these conferences, the things that they hear, and what this all means for them, their families and for the rest of us.

Anti-gay activists often charge that gay men and women pose a threat to children. In this report, we explore the supposed connection between homosexuality and child sexual abuse, the conclusions reached by the most knowledgeable professionals in the field, and how anti-gay activists continue to ignore their findings. This has tremendous consequences, not just for gay men and women, but more importantly for the safety of all our children.

Straight From The Source: What the “Dutch Study” Really Says About Gay Couples

Anti-gay activists often cite the “Dutch Study” to claim that gay unions last only about 1½ years and that the these men have an average of eight additional partners per year outside of their steady relationship. In this report, we will take you step by step into the study to see whether the claims are true.

The FRC’s Briefs Are Showing

Daniel Fetty Doesn’t Count

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
