Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has tearfully reached the exact position that the County, the Governor, the federal judiciary, and her gay constituents have been demanding of her. Marriage licenses will continue to be issued. (Huffpo)
“I want the whole world to know … If any [deputy clerk] feels that they must issue an unauthorized license to avoid being thrown in jail, I understand their tough choice, and I will take no action against them,” she said. “However, any unauthorized license that they issue will not have my name, my title or my authority on it. Instead, the license will state that they are issued pursuant to a federal court order.”
Of course no one else is questioning their validity and Davis’ only purpose in doing so is a whiny pretense that her efforts to impose her religious values on the county were not in vain.
They were.
UPDATE: new twist: Davis has altered the marriage licenses to remove any reference to deputy clerk. By “unauthorized”, she means “altered”. They likely are invalid.

I am trying to get a hold of you. I am looking for a PBS documentary that spoke of Scott Lively and his activity in Uganda. Thought you might have a copy, because there is also a war going on, computer wise…I hope you know it. Censoring to get this whole Jesus Christ mess out. At least theirs. The one that hates.

I will help you anyway, I can. I am straight, however, I was raised Missouri Synod Lutheran. Hot Ass Dad. The Preacher. Taught me that God was all about Love and Grace. Not much more needed. Could tell a dirtier joke than me, drink a tall one…though I never saw him drunk, could shoot a mean game of pool and loved Benny Hill. Loved God with all his heart, soul and mind and taught me what God was like.
Don’t want to transgress in any form. I will fight for you to the bitter. We are all God’s children. The Gender Bender Book, tons of others, just had to let them go on the journey with that GOD that I know because, we were on this journey to get me to walk by faith. Was homeless, with money for awhile, only because the churches are so hateful right now. A bit of a story, but we came out okay.
Well read, I am. Always on a journey to learn. Books come and go and there are always better ones to replace them, that guide me on my path. You know, it is all about instincts. I travel with a Golden Retriever, Benjamin. He taught me.
