This is really refreshing and is what some of these other so called “Christian” bakers and florists should do rather than claim that being a Christian prevents them from serving GLBTs.

Really nice story. Thanks, Timothy. I’ll need a lot more like this to stop being embarrassed to be a native Floridian :)

Well you know how it is. There will be the usual anti gays who’ll say this man isn’t a real Christian.

Which begs the question, what do Christians think a real Christian is? Or why is it that the ones who are the most judgemental, hypocritical and contradictory consider THEMSELVES, the most genuine?

Curiouser and curiouser.

There is no link. I must have my settings wrong. I only see the headline. Thank you for the feedback I’ll have to see why my browser isn’t showing it. Meanwhile, I hope this baker isn’t getting rich too from his/her homophobia.

Regan–you’ve noticed that too?

Maurice, make sure to not only update your web browsers, but check that you’ve got an ad blocker/script blocker that isn’t overly aggressive.

Adblocker Plus is usually pretty safe and isn’t overzealous.

Stay away from Safari and especially Internet Explorer as browsers; they’re garbage.

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are your best bets for browsers with lightweight interfaces.

What’s sad is that this IS news. I mean, it SHOULDN’T be. It should just be taken for granted.

When a Christian baker NOT refusing to make gay wedding cakes is newsworthy, it shows just how far we have to go.

September 18th, 2015

Cory, to be fair, it isn’t just that he is a Christian baker. There are many pro-gay Christians who wouldn’t have a problem. What’s news is that he only believes in opposite-sex marriage, yet is still willing to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.

Lucrece, I’ve used Safari for many years and it rarely troubles me. Same for Firefox, though it tends to block things too readily.

In this original BTB Investigation, we unveil the tragic story of Kirk Murphy, a four-year-old boy who was treated for “cross-gender disturbance” in 1970 by a young grad student by the name of George Rekers. Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

When we first reported on three American anti-gay activists traveling to Kampala for a three-day conference, we had no idea that it would be the first report of a long string of events leading to a proposal to institute the death penalty for LGBT people. But that is exactly what happened. In this report, we review our collection of more than 500 posts to tell the story of one nation’s embrace of hatred toward gay people. This report will be updated continuously as events continue to unfold. Check here for the latest updates.

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

From the Inside: Focus on the Family’s “Love Won Out”

On February 10, I attended an all-day “Love Won Out” ex-gay conference in Phoenix, put on by Focus on the Family and Exodus International. In this series of reports, I talk about what I learned there: the people who go to these conferences, the things that they hear, and what this all means for them, their families and for the rest of us.

Straight From The Source: What the “Dutch Study” Really Says About Gay Couples

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
