Carrie Prejean’s Behavior is Disgusting

Timothy Kincaid

November 5th, 2009

Yesterday I was chided for calling opposite-marriage loving, NOM representing, values voter speaking, good ol’ Christian girl Carrie Prejean a skanky slut. Well, actually looking back, I said that the God she imagined had anointed her as his spokesman would call her a skanky slut, but nevertheless point well taken.

So today I’ll just say that I have it from a very good source that Carrie Prejean’s behavior is disgusting.

Who is the source, you ask? Why, it’s none other than Carrie herself. (TMZ)

When the video started playing, Carrie’s first reaction was “that’s disgusting” … and Carrie denied it was her.

Then, the camera angle changed … and panned up to her face. She was caught red-handed … so to speak.

Carrie was rendered speechless and immediately began talking with her lawyer. We’re told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to drop her $1 million dollar demand.

Now I certainly can’t speak for all of our readers, but if this video showed what I think it showed, then I am sure that there are a number of the fellas that would agree with Carrie that, “Ewwww, that’s disgusting.”

So, pardon my naivete, Carrie made a video of one of her monthly visits from “Aunt Irma”?

What the hell was she THINKING?

Hmmm. I dunno. Sounds kinda skanky to me.

And yes. EWWWW!

Well, Scary Karrie got off (pun intended) easy. She will not need to pay her lawyer fees.

If it had been me, I would have let her on and in the middle of cross examination, right after she has done her crying bit and played the victim, I would have put that video for all the court to see. Once she was able to put her face together, i would have started asking her what the bible says about sexual immorality, lying and the rest.

Once she came to the table with her tail between her legs, I would have refused to pay her lawyer fees and would have referred her to her friends at NOM for help, along with a copy of her performance.

But then again, i am not claiming to be a good Christian who loves all people so long as they conform to my interpretation of the biblical definition of morality.

I guess I am just not as nice as the lawyers for the Miss California Pagent. I would have simply played the video and then said, “See you in court.”

I still don’t understand why Miss California settled this case for $100,000. I think 5 cents would have too generous in this case.

Regan DuCasse

November 5th, 2009

Note that NOM, Brian Brown, nor Maggie Gallagher have absolutely NOTHING to say about this.
They have been extraordinarily silent considering all the lengths they went to to recruit Ms. Prejean and defend her as a ‘moral defender of traditional marriage’.
Well, where are Mags and BB when their angel needs them?

…is that crickets I hear…?

um… some commenters are suggesting it is disgusting because she is on her menses. is that what you are saying? what did you mean? I can’t think of anything sexual that I would find “disgusting” that i am likely to find in a home made porn.

because if you do mean she was menstruating, and isn’t that SOO gross, F**K YOU.

I am a straight ally who has done LOTS of legwork in my community concerning prop 8 and putting marriage on the ballot again in CA. I’m sick of the blatant misgogyny and the half hearted apologies from the “G”(lbt) community, including this blog.

I believe in fairness, and want my friends to have the same rights as everyone. But denigrating womyn’s bodies because we menstruate (and lots of guys are into that, it lubricates) as an apology for slut shaming????? I’m done.

Using her words to slut shame her, is still slut shaming.

I send you this instead of just removing you from my rss feed so that you can see how your language affects people. Do you care about womyn at all? or will you write me off as a feminist with no sense of humor?

I think the video was of her masturbating. At least that’s what TMZ is suggesting.

and female masturbation is disgusting?

Doug

November 6th, 2009

Nakedthoughts,
it seems the first person to say it was disgusting was Ms. Prejean herself, in the quote. So, is masturbation disgusting to her? Is showing masturbation disgusting to her?

So T. Kincaid thinks that a couple of fellas would agree with Ms. Prejean — what’s the big deal with that? Some gay folks may find it unpleasant or distasteful to view female masturbation. I don’t think that I do, but others may. I doubt people have an issue with the fact that women masturbate, though.

Christopher Waldrop

November 6th, 2009

Some people would find it disgusting, some would be turned on, some wouldn’t have a strong feeling either way. Different strokes for different folks. What surprises me is that Prejean hasn’t pulled out the “my grandfather fought at the Battle of the Bulge” argument to defend her video. She used that same argument to defend her opposition to same-sex marriage, which is also pretty disgusting.

Amazing how some people’s attitudes change once they’re caught in flagrante delecto, isn’t it?

I personally think that the masturbation is incidental. The phoniness of her behavior in this entire thing is the problem for me.

Yesterday I was chided for calling opposite-marriage loving, NOM representing, values voter speaking, good ol’ Christian girl Carrie Prejean a skanky slut.

Rightly so, too. It is fair to point out any possible hypocrisy or tarnish to the public image she puts forth, but to engage in such rhetoric while doing so I thought was beneath this blog. Both you and Jim have rejected common sense in approaching and given in to being ticked off about California & Maine, thereby lowering the value of the message you are sending as well as alienating potential allies. Are you sure this is a road you wish to trod down? Think carefully because while it is emotionally satisfying to call our enemies every name in the proverbial book, it’s also counter-productive. Witness the reaction of a couple of people who’ve posted here to your words. How many others who generally do not post here but prefer to just read and surf on do you think feel just as strongly as they do?

Stop. Take a deep breath. Do a few woosa’s.

FTI, the last time I looked, I had been a natural woman for 57 years, have worked in the adult industry, and I’ll go on record to say that a video of some girl diddling while having a period is DISGUSTING. I’ve was married to a man for 22 years until he redlined on whoring and drugging and I have been with the love of my life for 8 years now…. she’s a big, fat lesbian and I would die for her, even though it’s weel known that our relationship is disordered and we don’t know how to love and we’re just perverts.

And I wouldn’t think of having sex with her, or oggling her as masturbated, while she’s having a period.

That is NASTY your Carrie Prejean is NASTY and a hypocritical, slutty little nincompoop, and the only reason I can imagine that the various ministries keep her around is so one day they can have a little “private counseling time” with her.

Common prostitutes in the street have more sense of propriety than Carrie. Not to mention more sense, period.

& don’t bother to give me a load of “womyn” logic. I’m overstocked with that one.

I have no problem with skanky sluts. I just thought it was an incredible insult to them to compare them with Carrie Prejean ;)

Priya Lynn

November 6th, 2009

I haven’t read a lot of coverage about this, but nowhere that I did does it say anything about her having her period so I’m rather annoyed that people here seem to be making that up.

I’m going to disagree with Carrie once again – a woman masturbating or having sex isn’t disgusting in any way.

Jon Trouten

November 6th, 2009

The issue doesn’t have to do with her masturbating or women in general masturbating.

It has to do with her being crowned as a modern day “Queen Esther”, the virtuous, pretty, young champion of the anti-marriage equality movement, who was punished for her faith and her solid character. And then came news of the boob-job. And then came topless modeling photos. And then came the e-mail transcripts filled with bitchy, entitled attitude. And now comes the pornographic movie featuring “Queen Esther”.

Carrie Prejean might be a nice young woman. But her actions have run contrary to the very values espoused by NOM and similar groups.

Priya Lynn

Jon, there’s no doubt that anyone who’d deny people equal rights is not a nice person.

Christopher Waldrop

November 6th, 2009

As Dave Barry said, “A person who’s nice to you but rude to the waiter is not a nice person.” I find it hard to believe Prejean is a “nice young woman”. And if she were just being used as a prop for NOM I’d have some sympathy. Some, although not much.

However it’s her apparent belief that she really is superior that bothers me. She criticizes others but believes she’s above criticism. She holds standards for other peoples’ behavior that she herself doesn’t live up to.

Like every single sexual that has ever been done and ever will be done ever among humanity, some people find it disgusting, some don’t care, and some love it. Everyone who finds female masturbation disgusting, there is nothing wrong with you. Everyone who finds nothing wrong with it, there is nothing wrong with you either.

Nobody here has made it a point to say “Carrie needs to stop doing that ever again. Nobody has the right to do that sexually.” Because she absolutely has the right to do what she did. It IS her body.

Her religious beliefs and/or facade not withstanding, it’s completely ok for Carrie to have done what she did in the privacy of her home/camera. And it’s completely ok for someone to find the act disgusting – just as long as the judgment of that person is not based on the sex act alone.

Carrie touts her “Queen Esther” image (thanks a lot NOM for sh*tting all over one of the few Biblical Heroines) and then a sex tape emerges. Here’s what will happen: She will cry on camera, beg for forgiveness, say the sinner’s prayer, and everyone around her will say “nobody’s perfect, we are all sinners, but are perfected through Christ, ‘such were some of you…’, blah blah blah.” And the slate will be wiped clean.

My heartfelt tribute to Carrie Prejean:

Carrie Prejean says marriage is great,
As long as gay ones are banned by the state.
While the Christers applaud,
We all know she’s a fraud.
Now the porn flick may seal her fate.

Wow.. some truly bizarre self-imagined outrage here.

Who was talking about menstruation? And Carrie is the one that found it disgusting. That’s what really damns her and her hypocrisy. Always judging others.. except this time.. WHOOPS she just found herself in the mirror!

For the record I don’t find female masturbation disgusting at all.

the first comment makes a reference to her monthly visitor. that was in part why I brought it up in plain english and asked the author to clarify if his post had been misunderstood. which it apparently had.

ok, so that is not what the blog author intended this audience to find “pretty disgusting” in agreement with carrie prejean.

then what is so disgusting? and broadcasting she is a hypocrite is different than calling her disgusting (even if she called herself that first). See, I understand what you did there. She thinks the sexual act is disgusting, but your readers think SHE is disgusting. but you were quoting her, so its ok. very clever

you can talk about her hypocrisy without this language. and use language that respects the sexuality of people who enjoy female masturbation either personally or vicariously.

NEVER on this blog have I seen anything about male masturbation being disgusting or two men having sex disgusting, but I’m sure lots of people think that is gross.

John

November 6th, 2009

nakedthoughts,

Carrie Prejean is disgusting on so very many levels. It is ironic that she only recognized that quality in herself for those moments before she realized that it was her on camera.

It is possible (though I would guess unlikely) that some day in the future, she might see videos of her despicable anti-gay comments, and say to herself again, “That’s disgusting.”

I however think it is unlikely that she will grow enough as a person to admit how truely disgusting her behavior has been over the last year.

Candace

November 6th, 2009

Who cares about anybody masturbating? Who cares about making a video of masturbating? Who says masturbating is disgusting? I certainly didn’t say that and don’t see where anybody else said it either.

I just think doing so while menstruating (if she did, and it sure does sound like she did) is gross, and don’t care who agrees or who doesn’t. Yeah, I think that’s nasty. Not all bodily functions should be displayed in front of god and everybody.

So please stop inferring that the masturbation itself is what the problem is… it isn’t.

Anybody that wants redwings, go for it. I’ll pass. I like my women clean.

Timothy Kincaid

Just in case anyone is still confused:

1. THERE IS NO INDICATION WHATSOEVER THAT CARRIE WAS MENSTRUATING.

2. Everyone is entitled to find sexual imagery to be exciting, titillating, boring, inconsequential, or yes even disgusting. We each get to own our own sexuality including our own turn-ons and our own turn-offs.

GreenEyedLilo

November 6th, 2009

For me, the truly disgusting thing isn’t what she was or wasn’t doing on that video, or what moonphase she was in while she did it. It’s the fact that she capitalized on her notoriety to deny others the right to make their own choices. It’s the fact that she is willing to use the force of civil law to make others live by her beliefs, when she can’t even manage to bring her own mean-spirited self morally up to code by her own definition.

That said, just because of who it is, I kinda wish the treatment on “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” actually existed. (Now, if it was the actress who plays Anna on the “V” remake…)

Alex H

November 7th, 2009

There’s nothing wrong with masturbation, female or male or otherwise.

I think the whole point of calling out the “disgusting” act–Prajean’s words not mine–is to show the rampant hypocrisy that the right-wing moralists continue to exemplify.

According to a religious right winger, masturbation is a gay sexual act. Wonder when they’re going to come down on Carrie for her “lesbianism”.

Richard Rush

November 7th, 2009

Priya Lynn’s comment reminded me of this previous BTB post citing a religious right winger proclaiming that “all pornography is homosexual pornography.” Ergo, Carrie’s video is gay porn. So if the video becomes available commercially, does it mean that straight men viewing it may become gay? Or does it mean that the main market for the video would be gay men and/or lesbians? It’s all so confusing.

And incidentally, if Carrie loses her position as a Godly values spokesperson, and she wants continued public attention while earning some serious money, her best opportunity is probably the adult film industry – especially if she is willing to do lesbian scenes, for which there is a big market among straight men.

Priya Lynn

THERE IS NO INDICATION WHATSOEVER THAT CARRIE WAS MENSTRUATING.

Let’s note that whether carrie was mestruating in the video or not, my post was in response to those who think sexual activity during “womyn’s moontime” is a WONDERFUL thing, bucause it’s NATURAL. Yeah, and so is vomiting, but I find myself similarly lacking in sexusal arousal to it too.

1. Hey, the hypocritical way things went down (from all sides) makes one crazy.

2. It does illustrate that every single kid with a camera is gonna have stupid moments… it’s just this one to is funny. However, with my kids, I will drill them over and over again, dudes and dudettes, what goes on the Internet could live forever, and come back and bite ya in the bottom. So, behave. My spouse never listens.

3. The actions, these days, of a single person in privacy, isn’t one thing or another — it’s so common as not to be worth talking about. No, I think in light of someone who’s planning to have a public career and needs to have a clean image, that’s why most of us are amazed, and a few of you cheer — that like so many in her generation, she’s just another being stupid enough to record one’s self… she’s dumb or ignorant.

When you give up your privacy, and make a recording… what are you thinking? You are going to watch yourself, or show your friends… therefore, one has to wonder…. are you thinking clearly, and esp. smart enough to represent the Miss America corp.

Nope, she’s a dope, so … she’s out. That’s why it was a great decision…. for the contest.

Culture war, PC this, etc. if I was running the contest, I wouldn’t care — the contest is about fame, advertising, and money making, and she was too dumb to play at that level….

4. I expect anyone who goes to model will get plenty of chances to say “no, I don’t want to do that…” and a few of them will have the character to resist the money, and the pull on them to give in.

5. is the video a fake? would be easy enough to make one, but I gather not… lol Just giving that to this group… look out :)

6. Legal guesses: To not present evidence in the Discovery phase, would be …Entrapment?, and would open things up to calls for a mistrial, and open them up to more damages to the gal. The legal process is pretty easy. Most of all however, the lawyers for the defendant… the contest, are charged to get it over with quickly, and save their clients money…. by ending it quickly.

7. Hey, the question was a great one, it revealed a lot about her character, as did the following events. It illustrated to me the difference between someone who professes an opinion and someone who says this is the truth… folks with opinions are wiggling around… but the truth question gets back to… are any of us living up to the best possible people we can be? The person we know we should and could be…

8. I’m way too tired :) Night everyone!
