Anti-gay activists often say that gay people are prone to depression. With news like this, is it any wonder?

  • San Diego again. A security guard was attacked by about fifteen teenagers who shouted anti-gay epithets at him. They scattered when police arrived, but three were later arrested when they tried to attack him again.
  • Meanwhile San Diego Police identified a second “Lowlife” accused of beating six men as they were leaving Saturday night’s gay pride festival. Charged are Lyon Tatum, 18 and James Allen Carroll, 24. The third is a 16-year-old male whose name is not being released.
  • And by now, you may have heard about the vicious kidnapping and all-night beating in New Mexico.
  • Perry McGuire, the GOP candidate for Georgia Attorney General compares Gay Straight Alliances in schools to “allowing a pedophile club or a gambling club to meet at school.” With rhetoric like that, it’s no wonder we’re getting beaten up.
  • But it gets worse, with this from Renew America’s Guy Adams: “The newest thing in Chicago, it’s becoming a trend, and you’re gonna find this hard to believe… sex with infants.” Infants? Exactly how low can these extremists get?
  • But there’s a glimmer of hope back in San Diego, where Tracy Jarman has become a role model as that city’s first lesbian fire chief. “I have been overwhelmed by the support from the rank and file. It’s just been incredible.”
