I have no idea what that map shows. I can’t get it to display large enough to read the designations.

Purple (?!) is the color we want to spread over the whole country. Well, at least it ain’t fuchsia.

Man, the issue is all over the map!
(sorry)

I fail to realize how hard fought the battles are, that was eye-opening, thanks.

A world map would be interesting, some of the legal parameters would change, but the idea would be similar and just as starkly pointed out.

Hey, all of Canada would be purple. Usually we are only purple in the coldest of winters. ;-)

The Wikipedia page (of course) has excessive details and a map that slightly varies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_legislation_in_the_United_States_by_state

Thanks Ephilei.

I think my map is based off an old version of the Wikipedia map. However, I disagree that New Mexico recognizes out-of-state gay marriage. As I understand it, their law does not bar the recognition but to date no court or governmental body has done so.

I may be wrong.
