Heterosexual rapist and religious fanatic Phillip Garrido

Eighteen years ago, an 11-year-old girl was kidnapped while she was on her way to her school bus stop. This week, she was found after her abductor aroused suspicions of a Berkeley, California  police officer.  Arrested were Phillip Garrido, a registered sex offender, and his wife Nancy. They kept Jaycee Lee Dugard captive in a maze of shrubs, trees, tents and sheds in the back yard of their Antioch, California home. Authorities also found two girls, aged 11 and 15, that authorities believe Garrido fathered with Jaycee Lee, whom he renamed Alissa.

Jaycee Lee has never been to school or saw a doctor in the eighteen years since she was abducted. Neither have the two little girls. Acquaintances described Garrido as a “religious fanatic.” Reporters from The Washington Post found Garrido’s blog, “Voices Revealed,” in which he wrote:

…[T]he Creator has given me the ability to speak in the tongue of angels in order to provide a wake-up call that will in time include the salvation of the entire world.

And you know, the more we look into the Heterosexual Menace, I’m beginning to wonder if every heterosexual in the world is a predator.

You can read more about the Heterosexual Agenda that straights like Garrido have in store for you in our report, The Heterosexual Agenda: Exposing the Myths.

I saw this in this morning’s paper and thought of BTB?

Wouldn’t the Heterosexual menace make a great ad for a marriage campaign– with all the irony acknowledged in the voice oveR?

Bet nobody at TownHall will be bothered to report on this. Nor will they attribute this to heterosexual orientation as the culprit for making straight men so attracted to young girls.

And especially, will heterosexuals in general be denied their equal status because after all, it’s just a few heterosexuals and the entire of the hetero population shouldn’t be judged by the actions of ‘a few’.
So why should the right to marry be on condition of accountability for the behavior of the child abusers in their number?
Or those who don’t and never will procreate for that matter?

Snark.

I think I need to go vomit.

The police were at his home, something like two or three years ago, on a report of there being children in his back yard, and they did NOTHING.

I just… how… HOW the hell did the police NOT search his house and yard back then? He’s a known sex offender, on parole for life, they wouldn’t need a warrant, and they had reasonable suspicion of illegal activities!

God, now I DO need to go vomit.

Not to offend the “Good” people in Utah but wouldn’t this be approved under Mormonism? Seems the religious men there father children with children. Keep children against their will. Have multiple wives and the list goes on and on..

What Are Little Boys Made Of?

In this original BTB Investigation, we unveil the tragic story of Kirk Murphy, a four-year-old boy who was treated for “cross-gender disturbance” in 1970 by a young grad student by the name of George Rekers. This story is a stark reminder that there are severe and damaging consequences when therapists try to ensure that boys will be boys.

Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

When we first reported on three American anti-gay activists traveling to Kampala for a three-day conference, we had no idea that it would be the first report of a long string of events leading to a proposal to institute the death penalty for LGBT people. But that is exactly what happened. In this report, we review our collection of more than 500 posts to tell the story of one nation’s embrace of hatred toward gay people. This report will be updated continuously as events continue to unfold. Check here for the latest updates.

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

From the Inside: Focus on the Family’s “Love Won Out”

On February 10, I attended an all-day “Love Won Out” ex-gay conference in Phoenix, put on by Focus on the Family and Exodus International. In this series of reports, I talk about what I learned there: the people who go to these conferences, the things that they hear, and what this all means for them, their families and for the rest of us.

Straight From The Source: What the “Dutch Study” Really Says About Gay Couples

Anti-gay activists often cite the “Dutch Study” to claim that gay unions last only about 1½ years and that the these men have an average of eight additional partners per year outside of their steady relationship. The FRC’s Briefs Are Showing

Tony Perkins’ Family Research Council submitted an Amicus Brief to the Maryland Court of Appeals as that court prepared to consider the issue of gay marriage. We examine just one small section of that brief to reveal the junk science and fraudulent claims of the Family “Research” Council.

Daniel Fetty Doesn’t Count

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
