Ninth Circuit stays DADT Injuction during appeal

Timothy Kincaid

November 1st, 2010

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has extended its temporary stay on the injunction against the operation of the Military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. (Forbes)

A federal appeals court in San Francisco has indefinitely extended its freeze on a judge’s order halting enforcement of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

The panel granted the government’s request for a stay while it challenges the trial court’s ruling that the ban on openly gay service members is unconstitutional.

Anyone taking bets on how damaging this is going to be to the white house happening the day before elections?

I’m beginning to think we will never get rid of this wasteful, ridiculous policy.

Canada and most of Europe and South America are probably laughing at us over this issue.

I’m with KZ.
So much for ‘home of the brave’. Indulging bigotry in the armed services makes fools of everyone.

So…because it might be damaging to the elections…those of us that want it repealed, are people really going to vote for the republicans because the dems didn’t get it repealed for us? Really? Like the republicans would EVER work to benefit our side? McCain is the chief advocate of keeping us as 2nd class citizens and who in their right mind would give people like him more power???

No, it means more people are not going to go out and vote. If the Democrats do nothing to help us, even with all these available options, then the question becomes, “why vote for them?”
