Timothy Kincaid

March 12th, 2013

It seems that discernment is not a straightforward thing and that God is working in very very mysterious ways today. (Times)

The cardinals of the Catholic Church held their first ballot on Tuesday to elect a pope, with black smoke signaling no winner on the first day of their conclave inside the Sistine Chapel.

I’m an ex-Catholic, and I think the original post was appropriate.

That said, while they are to a certain extent, accurate, I can’t really disagree that some of the posts are juvenile.

Hunter, I hear that is why they burn the ballots in the first place. One, relatively recent Pope was so embarrassed by the reports coming out after his election, he ordered all ballots and notes be burned in the future. So, hearing those arguments would definitely be quite the treasure trove.
