    Hey Timothy.

All this time I’ve been reading your excellent posts, and I never realized we were neighbors — well, we at least live in the same council district — which makes us almost neighbors, right?

And congratulations to Mr. O’Farrell. I voted for him, without even knowing he’s gay. That’s actually a nice surprise and a testament to LA politics that the election wasn’t about sexual orientation. I spoke with Mr. Choi, and didn’t like what he had to say (or rather, didn’t say about his residency and backers). Whereas, Mr. O’Farrell said and did all the right things to earn my vote.

    Anyway, cheers neighbor!

Michael, yep that makes us neighbors! Glad to know we have a local reader.

I don’t know about his politics, but he is a handsome devil.

I’m also a 13th district citizen. Choi’s campaign was among the most relentless and the most negative since I’ve lived here. I got two and three pieces a day from him for the last two weeks, and half of them were unflattering hit-pieces on Mitch O’Farrell. I’m pleased by the election; everyone I voted for won.

Yet another 13ther here! We really should have a bar-be-que this summer!

The election results couldn’t have pleased me more..only time I’ve ever bat a thousand.

We can all be exceptionally proud that Mitch wasn’t just ‘the’ gay candidate in the runoff, he was the best qualified. I truly believe he will do a better job of representing all the people of our diverse district and not the special interests who bankrolled his opponent’s campaign.

Thank you so much for all your fine work, Timothy.
It’s a great treasure and much appreciated.
