It’s about time somebody spoke up:

I LOVE it! This is a wonderful response to those who argue that their marriage is hurt by same sex civil unions and marriages. And she’s the perfect one to do it. She isn’t a big gay icon (yet) and she’s someone that people still don’t really think of as gay, so when she does this it may remind some that, gay people are just like you.

made me think of that line from V For Vendetta

“I had roses for 2 years and I apologized to no one.”

Now there’s a beautiful woman. Angelina Jolie should wish to look that good.

LOL one of my detractors over at TownHall said some very mean spirited things about Ellen’s looks. It’s his contention that being a lesbian makes a woman look older and unattractive.
Of course, I’ve actually met Ellen on several occasions and of course he never had.
His remarks were petty, childish and uncalled for.
But after mentioning acquaintance with her, I said that she’s tall, elegant, had a beautiful complexion and a pair of the most luminous and exquisite blue eyes anyone would love to have. And that her particular wit was what made her one of America’s favorite people, let alone funny women.

And her wife is hotter than a pistol and I was sure HIS WIFE wasn’t a close to looking or being as fetching as Portia di Rossi.
And if Ellen’s pretty and adorable mother is anyone to go by (she’s a friend), Ellen will have a lovely face into her old age too.
Some men shouldn’t bag on other folk’s wives. Including lesbians.

Oh right, HE didn’t have a wife. Never had one.

Was he mad cause Ellen did and he didn’t? Must be hard to have to live with the idea that no one wanted to be in his life as he would like license that gay people not have anyone.

Sure, what I said was obnoxious. Some days I wanna give as much as I tend to get. And I don’t care.

I am of the school that if any of us fragile and temporarily on this mortal coil human beings find the kind of love of which those beautiful marriage vows are written, it’s a gift not to be taken away by or from anyone.

This commercial was a hoot. Go Porsh!

Regan, I think its not just that Ellen got the wife and he didn’t, its that Ellen got the beauty queen he can only dream of.

Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

Daniel Fetty Doesn’t Count

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
