During a hearing Monday afternoon, King County Superior Court Judge Julie Spector heard arguments from lawyers representing the Secretary of State, proponents of R-71 and Washington Families Standing Together, the group opposed to the referendum.
Families Standing Together filed a lawsuit last week requesting an injunction that would keep the referendum off the fall ballot. Spector said she will issue a ruling by Wednesday on the matter.

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. Anti-gay activists often charge that gay men and women pose a threat to children. Everyone has to read the lawsuit Washington Families Standing Together has filed.
Election officials accepted more than 1,000 signatures made on the “behalf” of other people, which is illegal.
WAFST observers made many claims signatures were accepted in error but election officials ignored them. The whole reason for observers is to make sure the process is fair.

We need your help in Washington state to preserve our domestic partnership law! Please DONATE to Washington Families Standing Together (WAFST.org). Referendum 71 will ask voter to reject or approve the DP law, so make sure that everyone you know in WA knows to vote “APPROVED” on Ref. 71.

Election officials were asked NOT to declare the status of the referendum until the lawsuit was decided. Election officials did it anyway declaring R-71 made the ballot. Election officials are so spiteful and corrupt.

It is a frightening day in American when a loud but small minority of haters can push through just enough signatures to get a ballot and then through fear convince the majority to strip away the rights of another minority.
Where are the petitions to outlaw Inter-Racial Couples? Or to rescind Women’s Right to Vote? I’m just saying.
