Bill Donohue of the Catholic League is mad at the Presbyterians for allowing ordination of gay people. Where’s the Presbyterian League when you need one?

Wonderful! Now I can start dictating catholic theology. I have a few ideas…

Has anyone told him that going all “Papists vs Heretics” is SO eighteenth century?

Presbyterians believe this was all predestined by God.

I think the Presbyterians did it just so they could watch Donohue’s head explode.

Have you ever seen this man? There is no “Catholic ‘League'”. It’s just a sad, angry man in an office. Donohue is the sole proprietor.

It’s 16th century. Trace the timeline for the Protestant Reformation. And we still have the Eastern Orthodox and the RCC both claiming to be the one true church. There are quarrels over apostolic succession as well. It could either fascinate you or bore you. And it might give you a better understanding of what we wound up with in the USA. 4th century can also be interesting.

Bill Donohue Sticks Catholic Nose Into Presbyterians’ Business

It’s amazing how many people are only able to feel a sense of purpose and contentment in the own lives by meddling in the lives of other people.

So jealous….

Roughly 10,000 people actually attended meetings and voted for this change in ordination standards. Another 6,000 voted the other way. None of them voted to install Mr. Donohue on his peculiarly remunerative perch. They also did not fund that position.

Slouching Towards Kampala: Uganda’s Deadly Embrace of Hate

Paul Cameron’s World

In 2005, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that “[Paul] Cameron’s ‘science’ echoes Nazi Germany.” What the SPLC didn”t know was Cameron doesn’t just “echo” Nazi Germany. He quoted extensively from one of the Final Solution’s architects. This puts his fascination with quarantines, mandatory tattoos, and extermination being a “plausible idea” in a whole new and deeply disturbing light.

Daniel FettyThe FBI’s annual Hate Crime Statistics aren’t as complete as they ought to be, and their report for 2004 was no exception. In fact, their most recent report has quite a few glaring holes. Holes big enough for Daniel Fetty to fall through.
