White Supremacist Sentenced In Gay Man’s Murder

Jim Burroway

October 10th, 2008

White supremacist Darrell Lynn Madden was sentenced to four life terms in Oklahoma City yesterday for kidnapping and killing a gay man as an initiation into the United Aryan Brotherhood.

According to prosecutors, Madden and and another man, Bradley Qualls, killed Steven Domer as an initiation into the white supremacist group. Madden then killed Qualls ten days later in order to keep him from talking about the crime.

Steven Domer was last seen on October 26, 2007, near a car wash. A witness saw Steven talking to two men who matched the description of Madden and Qualls. Steven’s burned car was found the next day near Madden’s home and his body was found a little more than a week later in a ravine. Police question Madden’s roommate, who said he heard Madden and another man describing a fight with someone who “wouldn’t even fight back.”

Madden did not face a hate crime charge because sexual orientation is not covered under Oklahoma law.

I really hope he gets to spend the rest of his life in prison as his cellmate’s “bitch.” In principle, I oppose rape as much as anyone, but in this case, he deserves it.

“Human scum” doesn’t even begin to describe this degenerate.

AJD, most likely he’ll join the Aryn Brotherhood’s prison gang. He’ll be fed more of what he thrives on – hatred and violence. People rot from the inside out from that.

AJD, I don’t know whether to be more shocked at your suggestion, or at me (as a rape victim) agreeing with it.

Either way I have to say that, while revenge may be a dish best served cold, hot and sweaty works fine for me in this case.

Oklahoma law on hate crimes need to be re-visited. That is a very primitive way of thinking

What would a hate-crime enhancement have added to this sentence?

As for the prison rape fantasy some of you have expressed, it seems more likely that Madden will be the perpetrator of sexual violence in prison than the victim. I’d much prefer to know that prison authorities are taking Oklahoma’s 2008 Prison Rape Act seriously and are working to protect all prisoners from violence, sexual or otherwise.
