Who would have thought that the path for returning America to its former greatness as “a shining city on a hill” would be to emulate Uganda?

I’m trying to think of a single living person in the United States more evil than Bryan Fischer…

It is appropriate that this vile man “stands with Phil.” The DuckDynasty patriarch is a freak show, but a dangerous one, a Fred Phelps with a national television show. I just viewed a YouTube video from 2010 in which Robertson says gay people are evil murderers. No wonder Fischer likes him. He speaks of gay men and lesbians the way Jews were spoken of in 1930s Germany. I originally thought the man was just an ignorant hillbilly, but now I think in addition to being ignorant, he is dangerous. Here is a link to the 2010 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiDjXf4AUIE

Fischer’s cognitive dissonance is more than usually discordant.

On the one hand he claims to be a champion of free speech to the degree that even A&E, a private organisation, shouldn’t be permitted to determine the content of their own property. On the other, people should not only be imprisoned merely for allowing it to be known they’re not heterosexual, but that anyone who fails to turn them in should also be prosecuted.

The only consistency I can find in his view is a rigidly solipsist authoritarianism. Yet he purports to make some sort of stand for liberty. What a mess.

Timothy, I believe that honor would either elong to Scott Lively or Fischer’s evil twin sister, Cruella de Fischer.
