If they believe otherwise, then they need to come clean on exactly what they felt was so “factually inaccurate” about the House resolution.

They also need to tell us whom exactly they lobbied or those representatives need to come forward on their own.

“Does civility require the acceptance of all behavior? ”

So, there is no need for anyone to be civil to Tony Perkins.

Creating equality for GLBTQ people is an “effort to uphold moral conduct that protects others and in particular the most vulnerable,” since oppression is immoral conduct and in any society, minorities are among the most vulnerable.

So, as long as Tony Perkins and Focus on the Family characterize efforts to establish civil equality, which protect others and in particular the most vulnerable, as attacking people, civility will continue to evade us.

Tony and Focus on the Family create obstacles to civility.

No, but it does require the acceptance of all harmless behaviors. Jerks like Perkins keep coming up with these strawmen because they don’t have any logical reasons to support their hatred.
